Job description
To Responsible for shift activities in plant operations, where he observe the operational parameters, review operators actions during the shift and give instructions to them to acflieve smooth operation oftlie Hydrogen Fluoride (HF), Aluminum Fluoride (ALF3) and Sulphuric Acid (H2S04) plants.
Major Responsibilities
- Check tfie consumption norms, and follow up the correction action, if any, as per the Supervisor's instructions.
- Prepare the daily production report.
- Assess the plant's equipment performance on a daily basis through field inspection visits.
- Coordinate with Maintenance department for troubleshooting activities and ensure attending breakdown maintenance jobs in minimum downtime.
- Prepare of prestart up checklist and walk down puncfi points of individual equipment after maintenance.
- Receive and review the Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/ QC) Department reports regarding the quality standards.
- Improve operational quality results by studying, evaluating and recommending process re-design and contribute information and opinion to unit design and modification teams.
- Take the lead initiative and do the necessaty preliminary actions in case of emergencies such as accidents, black out, fire, theft, quarrel, pollution problems etc.
- Manage and properly utilize the manpower in different areas of plant operations, including housekeeping and bagging plant.
- Assisi in Ihe operator's performance evaluation and the identification of their training needs when required.
- Monitor and control the environment/ pollution control norms as prescribed and report to the respective Superintendent/ Manager for furtlier follow up.
- Prepare safety work permit and closure during daily operation and during shutdown and ensure the safe work environment for operational and maintenance personnel.
- Participate in job safety analysis activities. Provide feedback and suggestions for HSE program improvement
- Adhere to the Company’s HSE Policies, procedures and controls in order to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance and to carry out the jobs without any accidents, througli the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and proper use of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Job Specification:
- Education/ Certification: Bachelor Degree in Ctiemical Engineering.
- Work Experience: Five(5) years of relevant experience in continuous chemical plant operations,wtiere two (2) years of them should be in in-organic process plants (H2S04 plant, HF/ ALF3 plant):
- Others (Training/ Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities): Higti competency in DCS plant operations- Handling of liighly hazardous chemicals- Knowledge of operations research and Safety ManagementLeadership skills
